Two man teams play 9 hole Best Ball (front) and 9 hole Shamble (back) on Saturday, and 9 hole Scramble (front) and 9 hole Scotch (back) on Sunday. Flighted both days. May 27 GHIN Revision will be used to set flights.
This is a two-man team event. To be ELIGIBLE for this tournament you must have posted 3 scores in the GHIN system by 5/27/2024. Pick your own partner or one will be assigned to you. NOTE: The partner you choose MUST have a handicap that is within 10 strokes of your handicap. If the handicap is not within 10 strokes, the higher handicap player will be adjusted down to be within 10 strokes. Teams will be flighted into 4 flights.

Saturday, Best Ball/Shamble: Each player will get 85% of their handicap. The front 9 holes are played as two man Best Ball and the back 9 holes are played as two man Shamble. Shamble format will be as follows: On each hole both players will hit tee shot and team will select drive that they deem to be best. Then both players must place their second shot within a 1 foot half circle of the chosen ball, no closer to the hole, without improving the "condition" of their lie. If neither ball is playable, team must still chose one shot and play one of their options under "unplayable ball." Both players will then hit subsequent shots with their own ball through rest of play on that hole. The best net score of either player will count as that team’s score for each hole. There is no minimum number of tee shots required for either player.
Moving up to shorter tees will be allowed in this tournament.

Sunday, Scramble/Scotch: Each team will be allowed 50% of the combined team handicap. The front 9 holes are played as a two man Scramble. The back 9 holes are played as a true Scotch format. The team will designate a player "A" who will tee off on #10. Then player "B" will hit the second shot, player "A" will hit the third shot, etc. until the ball is holed out. The tee shot on the next hole will be from player "B", player "A" the second, etc. Player "A" will tee off on the even holes 10, 12, 14, 16, and 18. Player "B" on the odd holes. Follow this format until all 9 holes are completed.

NOTE: BOTH players must use the SAME BALL that is in play in the Scotch format! i.e. When player "A" tees off on #10, player B MUST hit that ball in play on the 2nd shot, he may NOT pick that ball up and put down his own. Both players may tee off on #14 and #16 (the par 3s) for purposes of the Closest to the Pin and/or the Hole-In-One Contests. However, the tee ball struck by the designated team player who has the honor on hole #14 and hole #16 IS the ball in play.

Tees:
1st - Bronze
2nd -Bronze/ Gold
3rd - Gold
4th - Gold/Black
$2,200.00 divided among all flights (Estimated). The Lowest Net score wins in each flight – Gift Certificate. Multiple places will be paid in each flight. NOTE: All Teams will be divided into 4 flights for regular tournament payouts ($2,200.00 Gift Certificates) and 2 flights for the Calcutta payouts (cash). The Calcutta will have 2 Calcutta pots – one for each Calcutta flight. The owners of the top 4 teams in each Calcutta flight will divvy up their respective pots in the following percentages. 40%, 30%, 20% and 10%. Calcutta ties will be split between tied positions.

This Calcutta includes a cap, or limit to how much a team is required to pay in order to purchase a 50% ownership stake in their own team from the winning bidder of their team. So, if a team does not buy their own team outright and wishes to buy-back half ownership from the highest bidder of their team, they will not be required to pay more than the following amounts: For A-flight teams, the cap to buy-back 50% ownership is $300 (or $150 per team member), for B-flight teams, the cap is $200 (or $100 per team member).

Gift Certificate ties will be determined by card playoff.
Payouts for Team Skins by flight, and Team Day Money by flight will be determined by the number of entries.

Team Skins will be Net on Saturday and Gross on Sunday within your flight based on the team score for each hole. BOTH team members must enter to be eligible.
